DELIVERY & RETURNS

Pet HQ is a custom built, brand-new pet supply store for Greystones and its surrounding areas.

 

To help build and grow, at this time,

 

Pet HQ will ONLY offer free delivery and consultation services to local residents.

 

At checkout, only certain areas within specific post codes will have the opportunity  to order with us at this moment in time. Locations include Greystones, Bray, Shankill, Delgany, Kilpeddar, Kilcoole, Newtown Mount Kennedy and Newcastle.

We also now offer nationwide delivery. A delivery fee of €5.99 will be applied to any orders outside of the local delivery radius. Order over the value of €59, the delivery charge will be removed. 

​

If for any reason, the stock that you have ordered and/or paid for is no longer available, we will notfiy you immediately and provide a full refund or suitable alternative.

DELIVERY DAY & TIME

FREE LOCAL DELIVERY

Orders will be processed and dispatched the NEXT DAY after ordering. Deliveries will be made Monday to Saturday with the exception of:

​

Placing an order on a Saturday

​

Placing an order when the next day is a national bank holiday

​

​

In both cases, you will receive your order the next working day. For example, if there is a bank holiday Monday and you make an order on the Saturday, you may not receive your order until the following Tuesday. 

​

If in the unlikely event that we are unable to complete your delivery the day after ordering due to circumstances beyond our control, we will contact you immediately to let you know and organise an alternative delivery day/time.

​

Unfortunately, due to the varied nature of the daily delivery schedule, we may not be able to deliver at a time that is most convenient to you. However, we do hope to have all deliveries completed before 2pm each day. If you are not at home at the time of delivery we will leave your order in with a neighbour and let you know via text message.

NATIONWIDE DELIVERY

We use the courier service from DPD to deliver nationwide. DPD (dpd.ie) has a tracking system that allows for you to track your delivery. Once your parcel leaves our shipping department, we will send you a tracking number and information on how to track your parcel. 

​

Nationwide shipping costs €5.99 per order but is free once the order value reaches over €59.

​

Orders are processed either the same day or the following day depending on your time of order and will usually be with you within 3 - 5 WORKING DAYS.

​

If there are any issues with stock availability, you will be contacted for a suitable alternative. 

​

Our founder, Thomas will be carrying out all deliveries personally. Along with free delivery, we would be happy to answer any questions or queries you may have about your pet or the products you're buying with us. His extensive knowledge and background in animal care (which you can read more about HERE) ensures we can help if needed.

Also, if you have questions about products or would like to see products in person, get in touch and we can bring them with us during delivery for you to see before purchasing. We will have a card machine on person if you would like to make a purchase then.

RETURNS

At Pet HQ, we pride ourselves on customer satisfaction and our service, so if you have any issues with any product bought with us please let us know and get in touch.

 

Below we outline the two scenarios that can occur when returning goods. 

 

 

FAULTY GOODS

According to the Sale of Goods Act 1980, any goods bought from a shop must:


Fit the description provided
Be fit for the purpose they are purchased for and;
Be in satisfactory condition.


If you believe that you purchase does not meet the above descriptions, GET IN TOUCH IMMEDIATELY. Once assessed by Pet HQ along with a valid proof of purchase within 30 days, and deemed to be a faulty product, you will be entitled to:

A FULL REFUND

This will be provided to the full amount paid for the faulty product according to the valid receipt and only within 30 days of purchase. The payment method used will be the form the refund will be provided (i.e. cash for cash, card for card - a card refund will only be provided on the same card used for purchase).

OR

 

AN EXCHANGE TO THE SAME VALUE

CHANGE OF MIND

 

If you have changed your mind about a purchased product and the goods are provided in perfect and resellable condition (not chewed or damaged in any way), you may be offered a FULL REFUND or EXCHANGE TO THE FULL VALUE, only with a valid receipt within 30 days of purchase

RETURN VIA DPD

To return unwanted products, contact us first at the above number. If the product is in perfect and resellable condition, simply visit DPD's returns website https://dpd.ie/Returns#/ and fill in your information, print the information and drop it at your nearest DPD Parcelshop - there are over 600 in Ireland.

 

As soon as it is received we will issue a refund of the total cost of returned product/s. Cost of return with DPD is €5.55
